This is JungleSound. We are building the global home of jungle music and culture: history, new releases, mixes, artists, labels, records, samples, events, flyers, and the regional scenes that keep the sound alive.
Right now the site is a clean slate. We are wiring up the content architecture, the archive, the radio module, the record database, and the sample database. Posts and pages will start appearing here as each section comes online.
If you make jungle, mix jungle, release jungle, organise jungle, or just collect it: this is for you.
What you will find here
- News about releases, events, label news, scene reports
- New releases with catalogue metadata, label history, and listen links
- Mixes and radio shows from across the global scene
- Artist profiles, label profiles, and event archives
- The record database, searchable by artist, label, catalogue, year, format, and style
- The sample database, tracing breaks, vocals, and stabs back to their sources and forward to the records that used them
- Regional scene hubs for the UK, USA, EU, Japan, and beyond
- A growing archive of rave flyers, history features, and interviews
If you have material to contribute, a release to flag, a flyer to scan, or an event to list, the submission forms are coming soon. Until then, drop us a line.
